9 AUGUST 2015 ~ NATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

What better way to celebrate Women's Day than to get together with a wonderful group of women at a stunning venue and spend the day scrapbooking???  That's exactly how I spent this Women's Day.

Ali arranged for us to meet at Afrique Boutique Hotel (where we celebrated her birthday in January) at 08h00 where we started out with coffee and catching up.  

I invited Wendy to join me as her birthday present.

Arina and Rika are part of the other scrapbook group that Leonie scrapbooks with monthly.  Joey was missing as she was overseas with her hubby.  We will be scrapping with them again in November.

We had an absolutely amazing day with fabulous company, great food and a wonderful venue.

The Scrap Addicts Group started in 1998 ~ Alison, Leonie, Linda, Lynette and Lynn.  Our precious friend Lynette retires at the end of the month and her and her hubby are moving to Cape Town to be close to their daughters and grand daughters.  We are going to miss this lady like crazy.  

We asked Wendy to take some photos of us to use in a frame which we will be giving to her as a farewell gift ...

Ali gave me a beautiful "half birthday" gift ... Relax with Art colouring in boox with koki pens, fruit pastilles and beta sleep (only friends give friends drugs as a birthday gift!!!!!)

GORDON AND NOLEEN had gone to Cathedral Peak in the Drakensberg for the weekend and while we were scrapbooking she sent me this photo with the message ... 'My first quad bike ride'.  She told me that it was absolutely amazing to be out in the mountains and you feel very close to God out there.

SUNSET: Richard went out to Lanseria Airport to meet our friend Jacques to deliver some latches he had designed for him.  He sent me this gorgeous photo on his way back home (time 17h37).
