AROUND HERE ...

I can't believe that a week has passed since I was last here ... Here are some highlights from the week ...

Last Saturday night at the ice rink Richard had a fall and on Monday he said that his hip was a little sore ... The bruise is about the size of my and and this is what the bruise looks like ...

Connor was worried that his Dad would not want to skate on Tuesday night but he surprised us and after dinner on Tuesday night we drove through to Northgate and while they had fun on the ice I worked on some spreadsheets my boss needed for a meeting.  Thankfully this week neither of them had a spill of the ice and Richard really enjoyed the exercise.

Connor got these cool laces for his skates
The rest of the week was blur as I have been SUPER busy as work and was over the moon when Friday afternoon arrived.  When I fetched Connor from The Glen I had a cuppa coffee with him and Byron and then we did some shopping ... OMGoodness!!! PNA was having a 25% off everything in the shop so I got some scrapbooking supplies and ink for our priner and Connor got a set of books he has been wanting. We spent the evening quietly at home ... the cold snap has made it really difficult to be productive at all!!!

Have shoes ... will walk!!!
Even though it was freezing I got up on Saturday morning and braved the weather to do the ParkRun by myself ... Wendy had gone to a party and had slept over at her friend's house.  Connor came with me and sat at the coffee shop and read his book.

I couldn't wait for the results and this morning I saw the e-mail which came through at 11h38 last night ... My results were thankfully better than last week ...

After the walk I surprised Connor and took him for banana & caramel pancakes at Tulip Garden Nursery ... they were amazing and made up for the disappointing ones we had at the Waffle House in Winterton.

After having a lovely shower I took my Mom to Woolies to do some meat shopping and we spent the afternoon and evening at home.

Richard has just gone out riding with another Richard and this evening we will be at the ice rink ... While the boys skate I will be reading my new Danielle Steel book ... while I finished off the amazing Bridge to Haven by Francine Rivers (if you get a chance you really need to read this book) my Mom read this one and says that it is brilliant so I can't wait to get started.
I hope our weekend has been restful thus far and that your Sunday is peaceful and refreshing.

  2. Wow that's a wonderful improvement on your time, way to go. It seems like the boys has become skating addicts. Trust you had a lovely Spring Day.
