Mexican Saturday

On Saturday morning I called Wendy to ask her what the boys were up to as Connor wanted to spend some time with them.  She said the kids were going to see Spud 2 at The Glen if I wanted to join her for a cuppa coffee.  I quickly checked availability of seats and we went down and managed to get a seat right next to them.
Wendy and I had coffee at Fego and then trawled the shops ... OMGoodness!!!  I am definitely not in the same shopping league as her!  When the kids were finished at the movies they asked if they could go to Jay Jay's (a clothing shop) and I ended up getting Connor 3 tops and a Walking Dead t-shirt, a hoodie for Jarod, a backpack and matching t-shirt for Liam and a pair of fair-isle Uggs for Courteney (Wendy hates them and Courteney and I love them!!!).
After getting some sausage rolls from The Bread Basket I made my way home.  Fortunately I had my camera with me as I have often seen these informal guys who collect steel, plastic, glass, plastic, etc. and have wanted to comment on my blog that I have the deepest respect for them as no matter what the weather they are out there early in the morning collecting stuff out of people's dustbins and then they have to haul it away.  This man had two lots of stuff he was dragging along the road and we saw him nearly an hour later and he had only moved about 100m down the road.  The saddest part for me is that they don't get very much for the hard work they put in.

My friend Alison had invited Richard, me, Andy and Lynette to a belated "thank you" lunch for our help when she moved into her home last year.  We had a delicious meal consisting of taco's, wraps, mince and guacamole/ cheese/ sour cream and birdseye chillis for Andy.  Dessert was a lovely home made strawberry tart followed by Nespresso coffees.  After a seriously relaxing afternoon/evening we drove home and spent some time cuddling on the couch watching The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel ~ what a touching movie.

Here I am with Lynette and Andy
