MR & MRS DUNKLEY

My friend Roz married her knight in shining armour today ...

Date    : Monday 8 August 2016 (8 years to the day after she met him)
Time   : 12h00
Venue : Syrene Boutique Hotel, Wessels Road, Rivonia

Richard and I left the house a bit early as we were meeting the kids at the hotel ~ I had booked a room for them to shower and get dressed as they were rushing back from Oppi Koppi to the wedding.  We got stuck in horrendous traffic on the highway but still made it there by 11h00.  The kids cleaned up really well ...

The wedding service was very special and Roz looked absolutely beautiful.  Before we left the wedding I asked her if the wedding had been everything she had hoped it would be and she said "Yes" ... which made me very happy.

It was a very elegant affair with a harpist to welcome her into the service and then a gourmet lunch served in the beautiful dining room at the hotel.

We had gifted Bruce and Roz the arch which they were married under and which they will then put in their garden as a constant reminder of their special day.

The awesome part of having your guests sit in a circle is that you get to greet each person as you come into the wedding service which Roz did with her usual care.

Each of our chairs had our names on them ...

Congratulations my heart sister ... I hope this exciting journey is going to fulfil all your hopes and dreams!!!!

Roz made her own wedding cake and it was delicious!!!!

The food was really great ~ Here is the menu ...

Garlic & Feta Prawns
Richard Connor and I had the Garlic & Feta Prawns as a starter and Steph had the mushroom soup.

We didn't take photos of the main meal although the three of us had the fillet and Steph had the sole.

Dessert was an absolute treat (although I could have eaten three portions!!!)
Richard Connor and Steph had the Amarula Creme Brulee ... which tasted as good as it looked!!!

And I had the Apple Tarte Tartin ... The ice cream was awesome but for an ice-cream lover this was just a taste!  LOL!!!!
