Satisfying Saturday!!!

My precious fellow Scrap Addicts met at my home today for our monthly scrap-a-thon.  It was wonderful to have all 5 of us together.  We were not as productive as usual ~ it was rather cold today but we got the gas heater going and had a wonderful time.  Linda brought us a yummy banana and caramel tart for morning tea, my Mom made us a lovely veggie soup for lunch which we served with mini ciabatta's which Leonie found at Woolies and Ali brought us decadent desserts (sticky toffee pudding and an apple and blueberry sponge which we served with custard).  All too soon it was time to pack up and the girls were on their way ... Here is a lovely photo my hunny took of us in the driveway.
Here and the two pages I managed to complete ...

My hunny joined Schatz out near Lanseria Airport where they test rode an electric motorcycle from Zero Motorcycles Inc (formerly called Electricross) which is an American Manufacturer which was started in 2006 near Santa Cruz, California by Neal Saiki, a former NASA engineer.  They had a lot of fun.  Here is Schatz on the bike ... of course with his height the bike looks tiny!!!

Amageza's photo.
When he got home he was back in the garage working on a bike for a customer who is going to take part in the Amageza Rally.  This is what it says on the internet about the rally ...
The AMAGEZA RALLYE embraces being tough. You and your machine will be asked to cover over 3000 km of rugged terrain, navigating from a road-book and living out of two metal trunks for five days.
  • Supported and unsupported (Malle Moto (Man and Machine)) categories.
  • Race from the Kalahari to Cape Town.
  • Navigation by road-book and compass only.
  • Travelling bivouac.  Overnight in five different camps during the race.
  • Full medical team at hand 24 hours a day.
  • Recovery for both man and machine to the nearest town or bivouac.
  • An absolute African adventure bar none.
Sounds amazing and something I know my hunny would have loved to do if he was a bit younger ... this will be seriously tough on man and machine ... and SERIOUSLY expensive!!!

Hope you have all had an amazing Saturday.  I am going back to my scrapbook table now.

  3. You are sure getting me tempted! I have been sorting through old photos. My ex and I are still dividing things up, four years later. The photos of the past 25 years are all at his house in boxes so I still don't have everything yet. I'm going to start by sorting things into themes I think.

A scrap book group sounds like fun!

    Happy Weekend, Lynne!

    1. Hey Shawna, Getting sorted is the first step especially when you have so many years ... also remember that you don't have to scrapbook every photo. I have done a number of scrapbooks for other people where I have done themes ... birthdays / school / special occasions / etc. I hope you get everything sorted out with your ex ... 4 years sure is a long time to get everything divided.
