This afternoon on the way home from work Connor and I stopped at the little Pick 'n Pay at Comaro Crossing. As we were leaving with the few groceries we bought my Mom called to ask if I would get some soup veggies. I went back into the store, got the veggies and some nuts Connor wanted and went to a different till point. The young guy rang up the two items and then put his hand in the air. When I asked him what was wrong his response was "discount". I was confused but anyway the controller comes along and fiddles on the keyboard, I pay and as I am walking out I check my till slip ...

The worst thing for me is that they probably think Connor is my grandson!!!!

NO!!! You don't look like a pensioner...but then again I wouldn't mind getting a 5% discount if all I have to do is accept to be called a pensioner.

DeleteLOL-no you don't but I"m guessing that cashier was under 25 and in that case, to him you probably do. It's awkward to ask so maybe he has a default rule of giving the discount to anyone with grey hair. I'm considering dying mine grey so I can get discounts!! ;-)
