Farewell Delphine!!!

This morning I managed to get a shot of the sunrise from the window across from my desk ... unfortunately the window is filthy which hindered me getting a great shot ... in the foreground you can see red lights everywhere and this was the unfortunate result of an accident with a taxi and a car ... for once I think the taxi was not in the wrong!  I am keeping the occupants of both vehicles in my thoughts and prayers.

I left the office at 09h30 to drive through to Sandton where I attended a Roadshow and afterwards we met up at Tashas in Rosebank for my colleague and friend Delphine's farewell ... it is her last day at the bank tomorrow after 14 years service.  Here are some photos to share ....

Vuyo and Delphine
Tashas in Rosebank do Papparazzi Milkshares ... My boss Philisiwe was surprised when they served her the Peppermint Crisp milkshake.  Delphine had a Cherry Marshmallow and I had Peanut Butter & Pecan Pie ... YUMMY!!!!

I had a divine butternut salad for lunch ... we had a lovely time chatting and sharing stories.

I popped past Wendy to collect Connor and had a cuppa coffee with her and when I left we brought Jarod home with us.  All in all a great Monday.

Now I am off to my scrap table to sort some photos ... It is my aim to get all my 2013 photos sorted by Friday.  Wish me luck!!!
The Team ... Vuyo, Delphine, me, Mary, Philisiwe and Mpumi

  1. It looks like you had a lovely outing with a lovely looking bunch of ladies! I hope the people involved in the accident are okay. Did you hear anything about it?

I have to get my photos printed before I can even think of beginning to do any scrapbooking. I am terrible for just leaving them on my computer. I still think scrapbooking is something I'd like to try though I always feel I have such an odd and random selection of photos that it would quite come across in a book. I don't take a lot of photos of people or document events enough. Maybe that should be the first goal!

    1. Hi Shawna, Unfortunately the only thing I heard about the accident was that the lady in the front of the taxi had a lot of damage to her legs.

Scrapbooking is a wonderful way of telling your story with the photos you take ~ odd and random photos also tell a story. I would encourage you to go through your photos and sort them out and see what you would like to put in a book.
