Weekend Roundup

Packed & ready to roll
Saturday was our monthly Scrap Addicts date.  Linda picked me up at 07h15 and we drove through to Leonie's house in Pretoria.  We had a wonderful day filled with fun, great food and amazing friendship.  I worked on my current project ... finished the first book on Friday night and started the second one at Leoni's house ... This is the nicest page I made ...
This was the sunrise sky

The cabinet that I gave Leonie looks really gorgeous in her home and I had to take a photo to share.

It was our Regional Recognition Function at The Dome in Randburg on Saturday night.  I asked Ali to drop me off on her way home ... This is the gorgeous sky (Sunset) on our way back from Pretoria.
The theme for the function was Around The World ... My boss Philisiwe and my colleague Mary did justice to the African look and Delphine was a very sophisticated Gypsy.  I did take along my jersey that I bought in Germany!! LOL!!!!
The tables looked lovely and the started was really tasty.  Sadly there were at least 8 tables with not a soul sitting at them ... I don't think staff understand the cost of these evenings ... But then for a lot of people it is really difficult to leave their families on a Saturday night.

I was not in a party mood so waiting for Delphine to take me home was an excruciatingly boring part of my day ~ and I kept thinking how much further I could be with The Project if I was at home!!!

On Sunday I was up early and got to my scrap desk and started working on The Project ... This is one of the pages that was in the album ....
And this is what I looked like after I finished with it ...
Connor asked if we could go out for breakfast however Richard and I had already had our breakfast so I said we could go to The Glen as I needed to go to PNA and Woolies.  When we got there he went off to Fego and I went to PNA and got a few embellishments and also my 2014 diary refill (November Actions!!!).  On our way to Woolies I pop into Jay Jay's and bought a November birthday gift and then Connor popped into a new shop and got himself a pair of skating shoes. I spent the rest of the day at my scrapbook table and made serious inroads into the second book.

Hope your weekend was restful and that you are bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to face the week.  Today is the start of Connor's exams and in one month he will be finished with High School!

Here is another of my favourite pages done this weekend ... I love the effect of the hand cut hearts for the title ...
