LOCK-DOWN ... DAY 11

This lock-down has been quite the challenge ...

I always thought I would love working from home ... However nothing can be farther from the truth.  I miss interacting with 'my people' out there; I miss the freedom to have a cuppa coffee with Sam or Anna-Marie or Sanet or Saras; I miss being able to sit at my desk and focus on what needs to be done; I miss the routine of going to the office ... because here at home there are other things calling my name and asking for attention (my craft table is very needy and my crochet projects cry out for attention).

Although today is officially DAY 11 of the lock-down I have been working  from home since the week of 23 March 2020.

Today has been my most challenging day so far ...
  •  I am used to getting up at 04h40, jumping in the shower and being ready to fly out the door at 05h45.
  • Last night (Sunday) I took a sleeping tablet because on Saturday night I could not fall asleep so at midnight I went to the lounge and read the You magazine and then lay down on the couch to sleep at 1am.
  • This morning I woke at 04h40 and turned over and went back to sleep ... I know that this is not the right thing to do because when I do get up I feel like I am on the back foot.
  • My second mistake was coming to the computer before showering - although I did do a some work early.
  • So there I was at after 9am getting showered.
  • So my day restarted at 10am ... by which time I was not in a very good mood.
  • And then ... It is Monday and I won't be seeing my son for dinner tonight.
  • Ah well ... We will try again tomorrow.

So to try and soften this critical voice inside my head that calls me "LYNNETTE!!!"  I decided to do at least one thing on that "Lock-down To Do List" = Do one 2020 blog post per day.  Well, like many things on my "List" I didn't get that done BUT today I decided that I would shut that voice up and at least get started.  Once I got started I couldn't stop and I am now up to date with 18 posts done today.

The last photo that I have to share from the start of 2020 to date is this one >>>

I started this project on the 26th March while I did a LinkedIn Learning course ... and tonight I will finish it.  It is the first rectangle granny square blanket that I have made.  Blanket number 11 finished for the year ~ and that should shut that critical voice up for tonight.

I hope your Monday has been Magical and that you sleep really well tonight and wake up refreshed and ready to Tackle a Terrific Tuesday!!!

I'm off to sit on the patio with my hunny.
