NEW YEAR'S DAY - 2019

Today (11 March 2019) when I went onto my blog I couldn't believe that the last time I blogged was on 27 December 2018.  I was SURE that I had done some posts since then - There have been some changes on blogger/google so I am just going to have to believe that I haven't blogged since then and catch up.

NEW YEAR'S DAY ~ 2019
We woke up to a very wet day and after a call from Connor we decided that we would go the the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens as we always do on the 1st January.  All the way to the gardens it rained and we were deciding whether we were crazy or not to be going out in this weather ~ and Connor kept reminding us that it is our "New Year Tradition".

We got on our raincoats and at the reception heard the restaurant manager saying that he was going to close the restaurant because they were having problems with their power ... that meant that we would have to find somewhere else for brunch.

We walked through the gardens to the waterfall which was wild as a result of the amount of rain we had over the past number of days.

We decided that we would check along Hendrik Potgieter if there was anything open for us to have brunch.  When we got to Retail Crossing we were delighted to find that Mr Price was open as Steph had ripped her pants getting into the car.  I took advantage of the fact that the Super Spar was open and did my meat shopping ... can you say 'killing two birds with one stone'???

We popped over the road to the Woolies which has a Cafe and had a lovely breakfast to warm us up.
What a great way to start the year ... with three of my favourite people!!!!
