We were up and on the road by 07h30 on Friday morning and stopped in at the Wimpy at Villiers for breakfast ... Soon after taking this photo of Connor Richard realised that he had left the stickers he had created for the group at home and decided that he would definitely not drive all the way back home to fetch them. A few minutes later he realised, to his horror, that he had left his passport at home so we made the journey back home to fetch said passport. My Mom and Sheron were so shocked when we rang the doorbell (we had also not take house keys with us) and we said we had just popped back home to go to the loo!!!
We were back on the road in no time and stopped in at Harrismith at the Nando's for a bite to eat ... Here is my #10!!!!
I got Connor "The Stand" by Stephen King and he has not been able to put it down ... even at lunch he took a few minutes to read while we waited for our food.
After a bit of a detour ... our GPS was not working with us ... We arrived at our destination and after introducing ourselves to the people we didn't know (which was everyone except Jacques!!!) we got the bike unloaded, got Connor settled in the house and made our way up to the cottage we were staying in to unpack. Jacques and his wife made a chicken potjie for dinner and I supplied ice-cream & hot choc sauce and swiss roll & custard for dessert. Before long we were on our way to our cottage for an early night as Richard wanted to be off early in the morning as they had a long ride ahead of them.
The bikes and the stickers Richard made for all the guys. |
