A wonderful weekend

All too soon it was Sunday morning and time to pack up ... Richard was up early and made us tea and then asked if I wanted to go and see the balloon launch with him as he had not seen it on Saturday morning. We got there just as it was taking off and it was a bit of a tense time as it looked like it may come right back down as there was not much wind but it climbed up and then it was on its way.  I had a shower and Richard went down to the house to load up the bike and as soon as I was ready I walked down to the house and came across the whole herd of cows in the road ... hmmmm!  Walk through or walk round??  Round was the choice!!!!

We said our "Goodbye's" and went back up to the cottage where Connor showered and we packed up and left around 09h30.  We stopped in at the Pig and Plough for breakfast.  Richard and Connor ordered tea and of course I ordered a cuppaccino.  They use mismatched tea cups and saucers beautifully ...

My gorgeous boys!!!!
Here are some other photos to share ...
The cottage that we stayed in.
Nice use of an old ladder.
Connor was delighted to find some Craft Beer at The Spar Bottle Store in town

Connor was horrified when I asked him to sit on this couch made out of an old bath as he thought it was dirty.  I thought it was a very clever use of an old bath.  Of course he was instantly in love with this gorgeous dog who was delighted with all the attention Connor gave him ...
My gorgeous gate keeper!!!

  1. Oh wow it looks like you had a wonderful time away and I just love the cottage you stayed in. Ooh and I recognise those cups, I still have one in my glass cabinet.

  2. It is always wonderful to catch up with you again. I am so sorry that I have been MIA lately. I think I should be less overwhelmed after a week in Cape Town.
