The work week is finished ...

Today is Good Friday ... I checked on Wikipedia and this is what they say ...
Good Friday[nb 1] is a religious holiday observed primarily by Christians commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. The holiday is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday, and may coincide with the Jewish observance of Passover. It is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Black Friday,[1] or Easter Friday,[2] though the latter properly refers to the Friday in Easter week.
This work week really flew past ... On Tuesday I was going to the West Rand so because I know the traffic isn't as hectic as when I go to the office I popped past the Old Age Home down the road and donated some books which I had sitting in a basket in the study.  I spent the day doing interviews and as I was on the West Rand I picked up my friend Emily from work ~ I had her new cell phone and some Valentines and Easter goodies for her and Pretty (my daughter from another mother).  I dropped her off on her bus route and then came home.  Yesterday the Regional Manager said we could leave at 12 as it was very quiet ~ I only left at one as I had to sort out my 3G ... When I did leave the traffic on the highway was chaos! but I still got home relatively early.  We went out and did shopping for the weekend and then home to pack.

The highlight of my week?
It was my sister Noleen's birthday on Monday and her son and daughter-in-law took her out for dinner so she invited us for coffee on Tuesday evening.  As usual I took my camera with ...

On Thursday I got a mail from my friend Alison with this scrapbook layout attached ...
I will definitely be doing this layout with pictures of Connor.  He is a strangely amazing young man whom I love with all my heart and I look forward to seeing how he grows and matures and tackles life.
I need to go and shower now as we are leaving at 8h30 to drive through to Wakkerstroom for the weekend ... I am so looking forward to a restful Easter weekend with my boys.  Have a good weekend now y'all.

    1. Hi Desire, Yep! The corporate world just seems to get more and more hectic. After the weekend in Wakkerstroom my wish to step out of it is even more real. Hope you had a special Easter weekend.

  2. Always nice to hear about your family events.

I'd like to hear your voice some day -- I wonder what kind of accent you have and how you pronounce "y'all".

    1. I would really like to hear your voice too ... I have a typically South African accent and prounouce "Y'all" the way I think hear it in the movies.
