Sunrise and Scrapbooking

SUNRISE ... This morning I was up early as Richard was going on a motorbike trip with some friends and camping overnight in Dullstroom.  When he was finished dressing I opened the bedroom curtains and the sky looked amazing so I grabbed my camera and went outside and this is what I saw ...
When Mitch and Dave arrived the weather was really not great and they started their trip out in the rain ... I hope the rest of the ride was a bit better.
SCRAPBOOKING ... I invited Noleen to join Alison, Leonie and myself at a scrapbooking class with Desire Fourie (Doing Life) as part of her birthday present.  The class started at 8 so we left our house at 7 in the pouring rain and drove through to Dainfern.  When we got there this is what was waiting for us on our table ...
Desire's attention to detail is amazing.

We had coffee with the girls and then got started on our first page.  The layout used red paper which I swapped out for an orange as I wanted to do a page on our Wedding Anniversary for my chronological album.  I really like the end result ...
Desire is the Queen of handmade embellishments ... This gorgeous weaved heart looks very difficult to make but was really easy once we figured it out.
We had a lovely lunch of quiche and salad and then started on our second layout.
We were not wild about the example of the second layout (on the right) so we each did our own thing.

This is what the end result of mine looked like ~ I still have a couple of finishing touches to make but I am quite happy with how it came out.
All in all a lovely day with very special ladies ...
Leonie, Alison and me
Noleen
Now I am going to figure out where I can take my child for dinner as he really would like a steak.
